How about a little futuristic retro art? This is in honor of all the muscle cars I am likely to see this week in Kissimmee, Florida.
Art available at Society6.
This week I am still listening to the very exiting scifi audiobook Fluency by Jennifer Foehner Wells. Wow – really good!
I am also reading Warrior Wench by Marie Andreas. I see Marie is releasing a 4th book in her Lost Ancients series, The Sapphire Manticore. I have some catching up to do! If you like fantasy that is a little cheeky, I recommend the series. A box set of the first three books is currently on sale (as of the day I drafted this post).
And, oh yes, Florida. Not sure what I will read while on vacation. I usually take a print book or two for poolside reading. So many possibilities…..
What are you reading this weekend?

Happy New Year everyone. I got into this Christine Feehan Craze, reading all the Carpathian books again. It was great reading it from book one. There’s a lot I’ve forgotten about it.
Did anyone else get any reading done?

I have read (actually listened to) several of the Carpathian books. I did like them, but as with most series, after while I moved on. My theory is Too Many Good Books, Not Enough Time. I missed you the last few weeks, glad you are back Marie!

Oh yeah, I also enjoyed To Love an Earl Twice. I don’t suppose I need to mention who the author is! The shorter length made it a refreshing read between longer books. Thanks to Cassandra for writing it and to Marie for sending it to me!

I read Waking the Dragon by Juliette Cross – and really enjoyed it. And after putting it aside as my daughter wanted to read it first (the sacrifices mother’s make), I’m reading Anne Bishop’s Vision in Silver.

I loved Waking the Dragon, as well as book 2 Dragon in the Blood. I have Dragon Heartstring – a Vale of Stars novella – on my e-reader.

Now I’m jealous. I’ve got it on my kindle but I need to get Alien Resistance done by the end of the month so no more reading for me for a while.

I suspect I’d make a bad mother. No way am I letting the kid have my favorite books first.

she reads fast – and had nothing new to read, so figured I could be generous. I buy Anne Bishops books in paperback so it’s easy to share.

I can’t remember if I raved about Anne Cleeland’s Acton and Doyle books here but I loved them. Couldn’t do any writing until I’ve read all four. She’s got a chapter up on her website of the fifth book and I can’t wait for it to come out. I won’t sleep that night. I will spoil myself with a chocolate and coke and just read the book in one sitting.

Either Jeffe Kennedy’s The Mark of the Tala or N.K. Jemisin’s The Broken Kingdoms. I finally read Vinge’s The Snow Queen last week and it rocked my world.

Inspired by your your 2-part blog about audibles, I dug out The Dresden Files and have been listening to them again. I find it so relaxing to listen to James Marsters reading a wonderful story while I knit. I really need to do more of that. It’s great. I also got a bunch of ARCs from authors this week for reading – romances mostly. I will be busy this weekend.
